Homemade Pizza with Fresh Basil


Delicious, quick, and cheesy, this pizza recipe combines wonderful homemade taste with the ease of takeout.



Servings: 2 to 4

Prep Time: 5 mins

Cook Time: 25-35 mins


What you will need:

  • Pizza Dough

  • 1 and 3/4 cup of Tomato Sauce

  • Fresh or Shredded Mozzarella

  • 1 Shallot

  • Italian Seasoning

  • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

  • 4 Cloves of Garlic

  • Fresh Basil

  • Toppings of your choice


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cut Shallot.



Cut Garlic.



Saute shallot in pan with olive oil, salt, and pepper for 5 mins.



Add garlic, 1 TBSP of Italian Seasoning and ¼ TSP of red pepper flakes. Let saute with shallot for 1 to 2 mins.



Add 1 ¾ cup of tomato sauce and let simmer in medium/low heat for 5 mins.



Roll out dough on a large sheet pan to desired thickness.



Optional: Drizzle olive oil and Italian seasoning along the crust.

Add sauce, cheese (if you use fresh mozzarella, tear into small pieces, add to pizza), and topping(s) of your choice. Finish with chopped fresh basil.




Put pizza in the oven and cook for 20 mins.



Cut into squares and serve with salad or roasted broccoli.
